FAQ

Is this an official government website?

No. PobytWait is an independent guide based on real applicant submissions. It is not affiliated with the Polish government, Urząd do Spraw Cudzoziemców (Office for Foreigners), or any urząd wojewódzki.

How do I update my timeline later?

After your first submission, you receive two secrets: a submission reference ID and an edit key. To update, enter both in the submit form, then submit your revised milestones.

The edit key is shown once only, so store it safely.

Do you store my edit key in plain text?

No. We never store your actual edit key. We only store a scrambled version that cannot be turned back into the original key.

Can I add comments to my submission?

Yes. You can add an optional comment for context. Do not include names, contact details, case IDs, passport numbers, or addresses.

Do you have a plain-English guide for the new TRC/PRC online process?

Yes. Read our TRC/PRC MOS application checklist.

It is an information page only (not an official government guide). Always verify final requirements on official government sources.

This guide page is separate from the waiting-time tracker and does not change how stats are calculated.

Can I support PobytWait?

Yes. If you want to support the cost of creating and maintaining this site, you can leave a tip here: suppi.pl/pobytwait.

Optional support only. It is not payment for service, does not buy faster processing or extra features, and does not affect moderation, published stats, or data handling.

Can I delete my submission?

Yes. Email our privacy contact with your submission reference ID and request erasure. We may ask for enough detail to verify the request safely.

What if I lose my edit key?

You cannot recover the original edit key because we do not store it in plain text. If you lose it, submit a new timeline and include context in the comment so moderators can review possible duplicates.

Why do I see no data for my office or reason?

Public results need at least 5 submissions in a group. You may also be using filters that are too narrow, or a route where key timeline dates are still missing.

How is data validated?

We run automated checks to improve quality and reduce abuse, including:

What does “median” mean, and why do you use it?

Median means the middle value when all waiting times are ordered from shortest to longest.

We use median because one unusually long or short case can skew an average. Median gives a more stable view of the typical wait.

Are waiting times guaranteed?

No. Waiting times are guidance only and can never guarantee your case outcome or timing. Read the full methodology and limitations.
